SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) is intended to automate business processes and reduce costs.
Under the SeaPort-e multiple award contract, the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) introduces electronic
procurement of Engineering, Technical and Programmatic support services for NAVSEA Warfare Centers,
Program Executive Offices, and Directorates. NAVSEA has initiated SeaPort-e in part to apply electronic
business techniques to improve the efficiency and procurement of professional support services.
SeaPort-e also provides the contracting vehicle to provide seamless integrated support for 12 core
Product Area Directorates in 22 functional areas and 7 geographic zones across the United States.
Additionally, support may be provided under the contract to DoD and Non-DoD agencies. Additionally,
other Navy activities, including the Military Sealift Command, Strategic Systems Program, Office of
Naval Research, and the United States Marine Corps have chosen to use SeaPort-e.
