This position is a part of the JTECH II contract, a 15 year service contract that was awarded in July of 2018,
and supports the RF Hardware Systems Element at the Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF) at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB).
Spiral Technology is looking for a proactive motivated individual to join a diverse team of experienced
engineers and technicians dedicated to the pursuit of Electronic Warfare (EW) superiority in support of
protecting the Warfighter.
Primary role will be supporting the RF Hardware Systems Element. The candidate will be responsible for the
configuration and operation of Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment and the Combat Electromagnetic Environment
Simulator (CEESIM) within the anechoic chamber for EW test purposes.
Consists of use and operation of devices such as antennas, signal generators, cables, spectrum analyzers,
oscilloscopes, precision network analyzers, power meters, low noise amplifiers, and other unique pieces of
equipment commonly encountered in this dynamic operating environment.
Candidate may be required to collect test data, modify and input results into excel spreadsheets, posess the
ability to clearly and concisely present findings to higher level technicians and engineers. May be required to
construct or modify circuits using components such as resistors, diodes, and capacitors, requiring the ability to
solder to printed circuit boards and read simple schematics.
Candidate should have the ability to work under minimal supervison and complete tasks in a timely manner. May
require frequent lifting, carrying, or pushing of hardware and related equipment sometimes in excess of 50 lbs.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum High school graduate and additional higher level training or coursework obtained from an accredited
institution in a S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) specialty, or prior Military service with
experience in a like or similar field that equates to at least 2 years demonstrated experience and prepares an
individual to handle and adapt to the complexity of RF testing challenges.
A strong candidate will possess a working knowledge of electronic fundamentals with a technical support
background, preferably in the EMI/EMC or other RF testing field utilizing Spectrum Analyzers, Network analyzers,
Oscilloscopes, Signal generators, and other test measurement equipment.
Must be able to demonstrate a capacity to logically solve technical challenges of varying complexity and
effectively communicate suggestions and solutions in written and verbal form.
Experience with database manipulation, spreadsheet utilization, word processing and other basic to advanced
computer operator functions is required.
Must be driven and able to improve one's knowledge and skillset to adjust to fluctuations in the technical
Experience working in EW, Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) or other RF
testing environment in a technical support role is considered a plus.
Hands on experience using Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, and other
RF / EMI/EMC test equipment is desired.
COMPTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent
Must be a U.S. citizen and hold or be able to obtain a security clearance.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
