Job Title:Senior Engineer - Hardware
Location:Benefield Anechoic Facility, Edwards AFB, CA

Description:

This position is a part of the JTECH II contract, a 15 year service contract that was awarded in July of 2018, and supports the RF Hardware Systems Element at the Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF) at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB).

Spiral Technology is looking for a proactive, professional engineer to join a diverse team of experienced engineers and technicians dedicated to the pursuit of Electronic Warfare (EW) superiority in support of protecting the Warfighter.

Essential Functions/Duties:

Primary role will be supporting the RF Hardware Systems Element. Candidates primary responsibilities will be to provide engineering expertise and support that will help solve the unique challenges encountered at the BAF.

Responsibilities may include:
  1. Custom software design using Labview, Python, C++, etc.
  2. Perform detailed design tasks using Computer Aided Design packages such as Solidworks to develop components for fabrication with 3D printer.
  3. Conducts experimental investigations and analyzes engineering problems, proposes solutions and alternatives, and provides recommendations.
  4. Circuit design, analysis, troubleshooting, as well as being able to read from schematics.
  5. Perform load and stress analysis on materials and subsystems to ensure safety of use and operation.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 4 years of related engineering experience, or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering with at least 2 years of related engineering experience.

Ability to investigate, troubleshoot and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

Must have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and possess planning/organizing skills.

Familiarization with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniques.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

Must be able to maintain a clean, orderly work environment, including desk and other common workspaces.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working in EW, Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) or other RF testing environment in an engineering role is considered a plus.

Experience with Solidworks 3D design and simulations

Labview Graphical User Interface programming experience

COMPTIA Security+ Certification

Must be a U.S. citizen or Naturalized citizen of the United States and hold or be able to obtain a security clearance.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
