Description:
Primary role will be supporting the Simulation Hardware element and the Combat Electromagnetic Environment
Simulator (CEESIM) at the Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF) for Electronic Warfare (EW) test purposes.
Essential Functions/Duties:
The candidate will be expected to learn and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to provide technical
assistance and coordination with a diverse, multi-disciplined team.
Demonstrate the ability to build, configure, secure, maintain and manage LINUX operating systems.
Possess knowledge of various types of user interface design and building. GUI/cli/Menu driven etc.
Provide technical expertise on the test process, range environment and capability.
Suggest improvements to processes, systems, and procedures to obtain efficiencies.
Develop data analysis tools, processes or products for analysis.
Provide analytical mentorship to junior analysts and technicians.
Conduct test activities from control centers and provide system performance monitoring
Identify and resolve data anomalies and System Under Test performance variances, present test findings and recommendations.
Author Standard Operating Procedures to provide technical assistance (Data Management and Analysis Plans, Test Support).
Provide related support as requested.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline OR formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the specialty field.
- The incumbent must possess broad knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of engineering that enables the employee to perform as a senior technical contributor on complex projects or programs.
- The position requires knowledge and skill sufficient to apply developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area.
- Excellent communications and analytical skills; advanced knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with RF/Electrical test equipment, Spectrum Analyzers, Precision Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes and Digital Multi-Meters.
- Experience with RF generation equipment, understanding of RF synthesis and propagation.
- Experience with Electronic Warfare systems, RF Engineering or other electronics background that includes experience testing, troubleshooting and performing repairs.
Must be a U.S. citizen or Naturalized citizen of the United States and hold or be able to obtain a
security clearance. Must pass a background check and drug test. If hired, applicant understands that
