Description:

Our team is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As an Engineering Technician, you will be multi-faceted and will directly influence our business's technological advancements.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement RF software and hardware solutions to accomplish test objectives. You will play a critical role in formulating innovative ideas and implementing these into our product offerings. In addition, you will conduct comprehensive performance analysis, testing, and troubleshooting of RF systems and software.

You will also be responsible for handling and operating various RF test equipment and instrumentation, ensuring they are used appropriately and maintained correctly. This requires all equipment is operational, properly shielded as necessary, and setup for future tests on a daily occurrence. Setup will require designing and implementing placement of antennas, equipment carts, power and communication lines, and more to meet the test requirements.

Test operations will be executed in a test control room environment, requiring you to work in close collaboration with customers, government engineers, and teammates. Your ability to communicate effectively, handle complex instrumentation, and adapt to changing situations will be vital in this setting.

As a source of technical expertise, you will be expected to support cross-functional teams, including RF Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Software Engineers, Engineering Technicians, and Systems Analysts. This will require excellent technical communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into understandable concepts for various customers and non-technical personnel.

Basic Qualifications (Senior Engineering Technician):

  • Hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Hands-on experience with RF measurement techniques, including isolation measurements, signal propagation, and antenna polarization measurements.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and debug RF issues and setups with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.


Education and Experience Requirements:
  • ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in STEM field, no experience necessary, or an Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience or 5+ years relevant experience with no degree.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge with software tools, such as MATLAB, Simulink, LABVIEW, or VEE for system modeling, analysis, and control
  • Knowledge of testing standards such as MIL-STD-461G or IEEE STD 299.
  • Demonstrated experience designing with SolidWorks/AutoCAD and realization of these designs through 3D printing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python, with practical experience in developing RF software applications..
  • Demonstrated capability to diagnose issues with a circuit.
  • Demonstratable soldering experience to replace components and create RF coaxial cables


Must be a U.S. citizen or Naturalized citizen of the United States and hold or be able to obtain a security clearance. Must pass a background check and drug test.
